CAESAR

Symphony Stage Plot

American Songbook, Holiday, Educational Outreach - Available with: Duo, Quartet, Big Band & Symphony Orchestra

Caesar possesses that rare ability to achieve, from the moment he steps on stage, a profound emotional interaction with his audience. He touches the listener with the purity of the lyrics, and establishes a beautiful ambiance by sharing with the audience a public show of gratitude to Nat "King" Cole for the influence Nat had on him the music industry and the entire world.

A Chicago native, Caesar toured the world accompanying GRAMMY winner Julio Iglesias, becoming the first and only male vocalist ever to sing in the global superstar’s band. An unlikely meeting with Billboard chart-topping contemporary jazz guitarist Peter White led to collaborative performances and recording dates that continue to this day. Caesar's first post Pandemic performance will be at The Kennedy Center with The Pan American Symphony Orchestra, Saturday, February 26, 2022.

Whether accompanied by a big band, orchestra or sparse acoustic guitar or piano instrumentation, Caesar’s vocals stand front and center, powerfully delivered with poise, elegance and grace. He sings in five languages, which he aims to do at performing arts centers around the world. Caesar recorded selections from Cole’s songbook at Capitol Studios, in Studio A, singing into the same microphone and utilizing the same Steinway piano that Cole used in the 1950s. “Jazz Standards for Today’s Audience,” Caesar’s debut album that was later retitled “Caesar Sings Nat King Cole,” was engineered by GRAMMY-winning legend Al Schmitt. It is a sublime showcase for Caesar’s suave, inviting and majestic voice.

“My goal is to perform in the same theaters and jazz festivals as my peers, vocalists like Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Bublé,” said Caesar, who has toured, shared the stage or recorded with Herbie Hancock, Al Jarreau, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Lou Rawls, Deborah Cox, Ronnie Laws, Gerald Albright, Lalah Hathaway, James Ingrham, Rick Braun, Ronnie Laws and Peter White, just to name a few.   - Biography
